Last week there was again dry and sunny weather. These are favorable conditions for the fertilizer market. The weather forecasts are also favorable for the coming days. Intermediaries have spread a lot of manure, which is slowly but surely making the planning clear.

While collection contributions have fallen significantly in recent weeks, this is less the case this week. This raises the question of whether the end of the seasonal decline is in sight. Some intermediaries think so. Looking at the annual seasonal pattern, this is a logical thought. A further significant price drop is not likely in the coming weeks. The prices of fattening pig slurry are still declining somewhat in the south region, but the prices of cattle slurry are stabilizing this week.

Fattening pig slurry
The average price of fattening pig slurry in the south region has fallen somewhat this week, but has shown a slight increase in the middle of this week. The price in the south region fell from €23,50 to €23,17. Prices in Deurne and Utrecht have fallen by 50 cents. This means that Deurne still has the highest price and Tilburg has the lowest price. In Uden the price has remained unchanged.

In the central region, the price increase comes from an increase of 50 cents in Markelo. This puts Markelo at a price of €19, but it remains at the bottom with the lowest price. Prices have remained unchanged in Barneveld and Lichtenvoorde, which means that Lichtenvoorde continues to charge the highest price at €21.

Cattle Slurry
Cattle slurry prices are quite stable this week. There has only been a price fluctuation in Barneveld, where the price fell by 50 cents to €12,50, making Barneveld the lowest price in the central region this week. The average price in the Central region therefore decreased to €13,17. In the south region, the average price has remained unchanged at €15,17. The lowest price here in Uden remains at €14,50 and in Deurne and Tilburg the price remains 1 euro higher.
