Sijll Trade trades both lower quality products such as onions with fusarium/shot, potatoes for the flakes and carrots with defects, as well as good quality products that are traded and packaged. I myself have already bought onions through FarmTrade and 300 tons of Marquis potatoes from Brabant which are intended for the flakes”.

Jan-Eric Geersing has always been active in the potato world, including cultivation, research and crop protection. Geersing Potato Specialist is a specialist trading house engaged in the development of potato varieties and the sale of seed potatoes. He is now also active on FarmTrade with the seed potatoes, he says: “I have placed various varieties on the app and successfully, because I was soon able to trade with the Divva and Cammeo varieties. I was also able to sell some mini tubers. The app now also shows that many leftover seed potatoes are being used and requested, which is very easy for companies to trade in seed potatoes quickly.”
