FDF postpones campaigning for a while

13 July 2020 - Erik Colenbrander - 5 comments

Today and tomorrow silage will take place in many places throughout the Netherlands. This week, that takes priority over protest actions. But next week the whole of the Netherlands can count on new actions from Farmers Defense Force (FDF).

An announcement to this effect followed this afternoon on an ultimatum issued earlier in the day by FDF to Minister Carola Schouten of LNV. By next Monday at the latest, her ministerial policy rule for low-protein feed must be scrapped.

An hour later, the minister already announced via NOS.nl that she was disregarding the ultimatum by referring to the democratic decision-making process. The Emergency Nitrogen Act, of which the ministerial feed measure is part, has been adopted by both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Agricultural fund to pay fines
FDF assumes that 'a lot of moderate farmers' will join the FDF actions if Schouten does not take any steps before Tuesday next week. The reference to moderate farmers undoubtedly also refers to the supporters of interest group Agractie, which declared its solidarity with FDF after the arrests at the protest in Wijster in Drenthe last week. So did pig farming organization POV.

Agractie reports today that the reactions of farmers who have had a €390 fine are pouring in. A solidarity fund has been set up for this purpose so that the costs are shared as much as possible. Fines for serious crimes excepted. Agractie also does not call for tractors to break traffic rules, the organization writes in a press statement.

The first sentence already indicates that they have to silage! From now on, demonstrate as a group of cow farmers instead of putting the other agricultural sectors in a bad light as well.

of course we do not need solidarity from fellow citizens when they come to animal health. Should we ask the neighbors or fellow townspeople whether they think that's okay? spit out man hard actions, if an entire sector turns against you, you have to scout is to think whether she has done well, or that she should not change her point of view, after all, she is minister of agriculture, not minister of construction, is it? cows must be made sick or be killed and or slaughtered for soil grassland be converted into a heap of stones in this co2 era the whole ministry of agriculture must be no good.

That is how it is and then to 1 block of livestock farming, arable farming and intensive livestock farming.
We must not lose each other but support each other otherwise we are so played out.
