On August 25, JOZ will launch the groundbreaking nitrogen cracker and associated separator. With these circular solutions, livestock farmers can reduce nitrogen on their own farm by up to 80 percent without having to reduce their livestock. The nitrogen cracker and separator are 2 of the 5 innovations that the manure processing specialist is launching this year.
Rules, rules, and more rules. It is becoming increasingly difficult for livestock farmers to do business due to the changing laws and regulations. This raises concerns about the future. The current situation affects not only the livestock farmer himself, but also families and possible successors. 'That is why we have developed a nitrogen cracker that allows livestock farmers to reduce nitrogen and methane by up to 80% on their own farm', says Arend Kuperus, CEO of JOZ.

Savings of at least €22.000 per year
The nitrogen cracker is the result of years of design, development and testing. In addition to having a positive effect on the environment, the system is also good for the farmer's wallet. 'With 150 cows, the benefits amount to more than € 22.000 per year. And with 300 cows up to € 66.000 per year', explains Kuperus.
Circular farming
JOZ has been focusing on solutions for moving manure for more than 75 years. This year's new product innovations will change that. Kuperus: 'Based on our vision of circular farming, we go deeper into the chain and develop products that enable entrepreneurs to turn manure into a valuable product'.
'Our solutions form a link in the cow's life at any time of the day,' says Kuperus. 'As a result, entrepreneurs ultimately need to supply less fertilizer. They produce it themselves and apply it to the land. The result of this has a positive effect on the environment and therefore also on the financial picture.'
