The DCA quotations are generally stable this week. There have been some slight price increases, reportedly due to an increase in supply. The range of cattle slurry is somewhat wider than that of pig slurry. A number of manure processors indicate that prices increase somewhat as pit space decreases. The DCA quotations are now back at a comparable level to last year.

Fattening pig slurry
The average collection amount of fattening pig slurry in the south region remains unchanged this week at exactly €23. The highest price in the region remains in Deurne (€24) and the lowest price is in Tilburg (€22). In the central region, the average price increases to €20,33. The highest price remains in Lichtenvoorde (€21) and the lowest price in Barneveld (€19,50), in Markelo the price increases by €0,50 to €20,50.

Cattle Slurry
The average collection amount of cattle slurry in the south region increases this week to €16,17. The increase comes from the increase in Tilburg, where the price increases by €1 to €17,50. Tilburg already had the highest price, but this is further ahead of Deurne and Uden, where prices remain unchanged at €15,50. In the central region, the average collection amount remains at €14,33. The highest price remains in Lichtenvoorde (€15) and the lowest price remains in Barneveld (€13,50).

LTO advocates customization
Yesterday (26 August) it was announced that LTO Dairy Farming advocates customization when spreading manure. This is because the dates for spreading manure on grassland can cause bottlenecks in a number of areas. According to LTO, a solution must be found for the problems caused by the weather conditions.
The Dutch Dairy Farmers' Union (NMV) is also once again requesting an extension of the spreading period for liquid manure, again in connection with the weather conditions that influence the ability to spread manure.
