The high feed raw material prices continue to affect the pellet prices. The chunks have all become more expensive compared to December. The ceiling of this price increase now appears to be in sight. A-brok has become €0,35 more expensive per 100 kilos this month. Protein-rich B chunks have also increased in price by €0,40.

Largest increase in pork chunks
Prices for pork chunks have risen even more sharply this month. Pork chunks now cost €25,50 per 100 kilos. That is €0,55 more expensive than in December. Sow pellets pregnancy and lacto have both increased in price by €0,50. Baby piglet pellets have even become €0,60 more expensive.

Corn, soy and wheat prices appear to have stabilized since the second week of January. The price increase that started in September/October appears to have come to an end for the time being. The market has now processed the high demand and limited supply. It is quite conceivable that there will be a small correction to the heated mood on the raw materials market. The Boerenbusiness compound feed price indicator therefore predicts a small price drop for A-brok.
