FDF: campaign at FrieslandCampina head office

Farmers Defense Force (FDF) plans to take action tomorrow (March 3) at FrieslandCampina's head office in Amersfoort. In an appeal to the movement's app groups, chairman Mark van den Oever writes that 'heads should roll' and that the followers should 'start the tractors.'

The target eventually turns out to be the head office tomorrow morning. The call follows the presentation of FrieslandCampina's annual figures this morning. There it became clear that the dairy group will not have any performance premium, or a supplementary payment, on the milk price. The profit over the past year is too low for that, mainly as a result of the corona crisis. According to Van den Oever, CEO Hein Schumacher would also support the FDF initiative FarmerFriendly not support. "It's time for a clean-up at RFC NV."

First, FDF in the app group asked itself the question: "Isn't it time for a new board with farmers at the helm at RFC?", concluded with a hashtag revenue model. More than an hour later, the call to action came. A spokesperson for FrieslandCampina says that the group is aware of the call. He emphasizes that members can express themselves about the results at digital meetings that the dairy company is organizing these days. "That is the place where you as a member can ask questions and post comments. But it should be clear that we are not proud and happy about the results ourselves."

Even before the ultimate goal of the campaign was known, the FrieslandCampina spokesperson said: "We hope that it is not aimed at harming FrieslandCampina, because then the members will be harmed even more. I do think that a lot of members realize that."
