With the municipality of The Hague (including Dutch voters abroad), all votes for the elections to the House of Representatives have now been counted. For Caroline van der Plas of the BoerBurgerBeweging (BBB), the votes from the last main polling station do not affect the result. She keeps her seat.
The rest of the results also do not change in this latest prognosis. A last remaining seat could be moved from FvD to the VVD, but that does not seem to have happened. Yesterday (Monday March 22) the result had to be adjusted after the count of 19 of the 20 constituencies. D66 got one more seat at the expense of the VVD. The two largest parties now have 24 (D66) and 34 (VVD) seats. CDA remains at 15 seats.
The fact that the VVD has now won 34 seats means that the intended agricultural spokesman Jan Klink, who is at number 35, will not be sworn in on March 31. He will probably move up a few places at a later stage, for example, if Rutte becomes prime minister and other VVD MPs become ministers. If others in a lower position have not been elected with preferential votes, he will still enter the House at a later date.
Final results and votes per candidate on Friday
The results will not be final until Friday. Then the Electoral Council officially determines the result. The number of votes per individual candidate will also be announced at that time. Many candidates have already started calculating with the results of different municipalities. Jan Cees Vogelaar, the farmer of JA21 and CDA member Eline Vedder, too, and both do not expect that they have received enough votes.
