Why do you favor Boerenbusiness chosen to do an internship?
"I was looking for a challenging internship, yet something different within the agricultural sector. I've always read Boerenbusinessarticles and then saw the vacancy for an intern, I clicked on it and visited the company. So far I have not regretted that choice!"
What tasks did you perform during your internship?
"Before my internship, I was involved in the Crop Tour. In this we follow plots with potatoes and onions throughout the Netherlands. We look at how growth is progressing and what choices growers make. We monitor this and then write articles about it and this gives you a nice general idea of how the crops are in the Netherlands. Thanks to these activities, I was able to develop my contact with people during my internship - also because of the diversity in this, from accessible to quite serious. can develop in taking responsibility and writing articles."
What do you think of the team within the company?
"A pleasant team, with good supervision for trainees. In addition, the backgrounds of employees are also very different… One does have a background in the agricultural sector and the other does not have a background at all and I think that matches very well. We help each other and are also all ready for each other. All in all, a nice working atmosphere within the company!"
How did your internship go?
"Of course in the beginning it is always a matter of exploring how something like this goes. It was quite a change for me, I had never worked for such an organization before. This was something completely new for me, but it actually worked out very well. I have noticed that I have really been able to make steps within the company at this age. I was nervous in the beginning, but thanks to the trust you get from the team and the help from all corners, it turned out very quickly."
Where did you get your energy from? Boerenbusiness?
"I was able to get a lot of energy from visiting the growers and looking at their crops. Exchanging information with each other is something I find very interesting. From this internship I mainly take the broad knowledge that I have been able to gain "The sector is much broader than you think and a lot of things are involved. During my internship I was able to go much deeper into the material from school."
What would you like to pass on to any future interns?
"I would Boerenbusiness Definitely recommend as an internship company, it has a very good team with a great diversity of knowledge. It is a company where people work well and seriously, which has had a positive effect on my general development. It is very instructive here and you pick up a lot of knowledge, which is valuable for the future."
