Frans van den Hurk, chief executive and supervisory director, will resign from FrieslandCampina with immediate effect. The Brabant dairy farmer has given up because he achieves too little.
In a press statement from FrieslandCampina it is stated that Van den Hurk does not recognize himself enough in the policy pursued and that he has not been able to exert enough influence in the past 8 months to change the policy.
Chairman Erwin Wunnekink praises the departing director. "As a board, we deeply regret the choice of Frans. He made an important contribution to our discussions and we would have liked to keep him there. Of course we respect his decision."
Van den Hurk is regarded as a commercial livestock farmer who wants to make an authentic cooperative farmer sound heard. He will remain a member of the cooperative and will again fully focus on running his dairy farm in Lieshout.
