When a solar panel produces electricity, heat is released from the panel. This heat normally goes into the air. A PVT solution is a new technique that makes smart use of the heat that is released when solar panels generate electricity. By using this solar heat, you save on gas.

A PVT panel is a solar panel with a thermal collector at the back. This collector makes it possible to use solar heat as a source for a heat pump. An additional advantage of this is that a solar panel cools down by capturing the heat. This is in favor of the amount of electricity generated, which is higher with cool solar panels than with warm panels.
5 billion SDE++
The innovative PVT solution has been included in the SDE++ subsidy† With SDE++ you receive compensation for the generated energy for a period of fifteen years. The exact conditions of SDE++ in combination with PVT are not yet known, but do you have a gas consumption of at least 150.000 m3 per year, then an investment in PVT panels is financial very interesting.
