Rabobank critical of AgriNL guide

While almost all members of AgriNL this week have explicitly distanced themselves from the 'guide' to the cabinet yet to be formed, Rabobank Nederland is also critical, but an explicit distance has not yet been taken.

According to a spokeswoman, there has not yet been a discussion of the guideline and therefore a final judgment. There is, however, criticism of AgriNL's approach. 

CEO Wiebe Draijer is represented in AgriNL on behalf of the bank. Partly in its name, the bank states that it is 'working hard for a future-proof Food & Agri sector'. "Given the importance of this sector for the Netherlands, Rabobank endorses the text of AgriNL's advertisement and we support the goal of the collaboration: working together for a future-proof agriculture and horticulture. The current nitrogen problem requires solutions that are good." for everyone in the Netherlands, which we prefer to come up with together."

Rabobank believes that the solutions come from several directions. "We must encourage innovation by farmers. Moreover, we are in favor of an area-oriented approach, in which farmers, nature organizations and the government look together at what is the best solution for each area. The government should not impose generic measures, but rely on the innovative power of agricultural entrepreneurs. Van Huet said.

Most members of AgriNL, who this week distanced themselves from the guideline or even left the platform, indicated that they agreed with the advertisement, but not with the presented action plan.
