Newsletter Milk

15 February 2022 - Stef Wissink

Good afternoon,

The mood on the dairy market is still positive and the balance with regard to milk prices for January has been made. After the sharp price increases in December, the gains for January were more modest.

Furthermore, topics concerning emissions from livestock farming were again central. For example, directors involved in the Coalition for the Future-proof Dairy Farming (CTM) want to get back to work with a urea benchmark to limit nitrogen emissions, and DSM and Groupe Bel have agreed a partnership for the use of a methane inhibitor Bovaer by suppliers of Bel.

Finally, you will of course find the weekly update on the roughage market in the newsletter.

Good evening!
