Theeuwes compound feeds become part of Fransen Gerrits. Both companies announced this in a press release this afternoon (March 29).
In a statement, both companies said the collaboration creates new perspectives and opportunities for companies, employees and customers. The companies have been exchanging knowledge and production with each other for some time. Both companies are also members of the Centrico purchasing cluster for the supply of feed raw materials to the factories.
Needed more strength
Now that Theeuwes becomes part of Fransen Gerrits, the opportunity is created for further optimizing production and logistics. Within the new situation, Victor and Joris Theeuwes will remain shareholders. The name Theeuwes Mengvoeders will also continue to exist.
According to director Huub Fransen, FransenGerrits is anticipating the future with the incorporation of Theeuwes Mix Feeders, in which strength and company size are required. He is probably referring to the expected shrinkage of the Dutch livestock.
