Chanti Oussoren (25) has been active within the DCA Multimedia company for over 2 years. After working in the editorial office for about 1,5 years, focusing on dairy and pig farming, she made the switch to the marketing and sales department. As a media and sales consultant she is responsible for contact with advertisers and some advice on how best to get their campaign on the road.
Chanti gets energy from customer contact and achieving satisfied customers. "I really enjoy the work; it is variable and flexible. No day is the same and that is challenging!"
How did you end up at DCA Multimedia?
"I came to DCA Multimedia through a tip from a former classmate. He pointed me to a still open vacancy. That's how I applied and hired! I started in the editorial office. I noticed that I was ready for something new and so I made the switch to the marketing and sales department almost a year ago. This was of course completely different and in the beginning I really had to switch. Nevertheless, I persevered, didn't shoot, always wrong and I definitely don't regret the switch!"
Where do you get energy from?
"I mainly get energy from customer contact; I really enjoy it when quotations are agreed and when customers are satisfied. When you receive feedback from customers that they are satisfied with how the contact went and with the results that gives me energy.
On the other hand, there are always challenges, for example, in which you receive requests and have to switch quickly because it is already in the short term. Or if you can still come up with a good proposal during a negotiation. I have certainly developed myself in this in recent times within this company. In the beginning I still needed some support with this. Now I know that I can do things like that completely myself and I really get the freedom to do that."
What does a working day at DCA look like?
"I usually start the day by checking my e-mail. The day is also always varied; from evaluations with customers about campaigns and appointments with potential customers to consultations about how best to put their campaign with us."
How do you experience the working atmosphere?
"Yes, very well, it's just a nice atmosphere and everyone helps each other. In addition, there is always time for a joke in between or a game of table football. That also goes very well within the Sales department. There are now three of us working in the department Every week we schedule a meeting to discuss current matters; what could be improved, what is still running and what is still open? In this way we are always well informed about each other and what is going on. someone falls out or is ill, it can always be taken over by someone else, because we are aware of each other's contacts. "
What type of person do you have to be for the marketing and sales department?
"You mainly have to be able to work well together in our department and have good perseverance. In addition, self-confidence and creativity are also very important. It is important to be able to think along with the customer about possible options to make the result even better. You may also need to be able to deviate from other advertising options to see if that is something for the customer.

"I am mainly pleased with the freedom and flexibility that the company offers you. As I mentioned earlier, the company always supports personal development and there is always room for the knowledge and skills of interns!"
