The huge influx of agricultural entrepreneurs who sign up for this FREE service from DCA shows that the Transaction app is a success. The WhatsApp Transaction group now consists of more than 250 users and the participants report daily transactions that agricultural entrepreneurs realize with suppliers and customers.
The Transaction app is a great success. The limit of 250 users has now been passed. Transactions are reported per app every day. The fact that there are sometimes interesting differences in this means that many reactions have already been received from participants who report that they have achieved clearly lower purchase prices for diesel, for example.
Savings of €2.000
Also on the sales side it becomes clear what the price trend is and how suppliers use different prices. A participant reported to us that he had already saved more than $2.000 on his purchase since joining.
Striking price differences are, for example, last Thursday 13 July where someone (anonymous but checked by our team) reported having purchased 2.900 liters of diesel for €1,47 per liter and at the same time a colleague had purchased 5.000 liters for €1,55. Still a difference of €0,08.
We also see that a lot of KAS is purchased for the coming season. Participants do not want to be without next year and are already stocking up en masse. The fact that the price has also dropped certainly contributes to this. We see that 3 weeks ago KAS was purchased for €63 per tonne, but that this is now increasing again (also due to the gas price rising) to the most recent transaction of €67 per tonne.
Potatoes, onions and straw
Many reports are also made on the sales side. Onion sets, potatoes and straw are mainly reported. For example, the Transaction app team reported last week that €12,50 had been paid for French fries suitable Fontane. In the middle of this week, participants were informed that transactions were taking place of €20,00 per tonne.
The prices of onion sets are also in flux, they were traded for €16 direct harvesting two weeks ago, but at the end of this week participants reported that they were doing business for €20,00 per tonne for direct harvesting.
Straw behind the combine also has dynamism and ranges from €65 to €75 per tonne. Incidentally, the straw price in the swath in Groningen is at a significantly lower level of €45 per tonne.
