Young farmers not in consultation with Remkes

4 August 2022 - Linda van Eekeres - 7 comments

The young farmers will not be attending the consultation with the cabinet on Friday, led by discussion leader Johan Remkes. The NAJK was also not present at the coordination meeting with LTO yesterday. "Remkes and Rutte are in charge," said NAJK chairman Roy Meijer.

Over the past three years, the NAJK has been actively involved in thinking about the future of young farmers. They participated in all kinds of consultations, such as about the Climate Agreement, in webinars and about various plans, such as those of the Coalition for the Future-Oriented Dairy Farming. The government has not picked up on any of those plans. The NAJK board is now focusing its energies on the provinces and areas.

According to the chairman, the seven parties that issued a statement together with LTO are not very different from the NAJK. "They are also critical. Their message is also that Rutte and Remkes are in charge."

Meijer does not rule out the possibility that the NAJK will join in follow-up discussions at a later date. "The polder is broken and it must be repaired. We must be given the space and have something to gain. We are now waiting to see what the cabinet has to offer. We want to talk on an equal footing." He emphasizes: "Without young farmers and horticulturists, Dutch agriculture has no future!"

What a sensible language of the young farmers. It is already absurd that the government has done nothing with their input in the search for solutions . This means that the government has a different plan. I think that is the plan that has been drawn up with the European landscape architects for the so-called zone and green areas in the Netherlands. It states that 270.000 ha must be added to nature. There is no scientific evidence for this, only the contribution of ideas from the bright minds. In politics, D66 also counts among that elite. Dear farmers and farmers, don't let yourself be fooled, bang in. No more room for government, then no more consultation with the government at any level of government. If they do come to your company, you call 112 from the BBB, for example. In the spring of 2023 you can vote. So please keep the citizens friendly , because you need them . Hand out food, prices are going up anyway!

Bit stupid of the young farmers. There are always opportunities, you just have to want to see them!! One of the future-oriented measures are: simple and sober. There are still plenty of opportunities. Work with a low cost, do not want to be dependent on a bank. These people have been breathing down your neck for the rest of your career. And don't beat your "neighbor". The "cock behavior" is one of the bottlenecks of recent decades. Dare to chart your own course. Again: there are always opportunities

H. Laros take it from me that the BBB won't make it in the long run either. Even the BBB has to deal with a compromise. And then it goes wrong!!

I didn't say nothing should be done. There is work to be done, especially for the young guard. If they make a contribution to possible reduction, it is clumsy on the part of the government not to properly take this into account in new policy. It's like Putin's law. .A lot needs to be invested in the new way of animal husbandry. That can really lead to a huge reduction in emissions. There needs to be money (and allowed to invest) and time. Entrepreneurs who are fine with buying out should also be able to get back to work elsewhere. That is now blocked in the purchase scheme. That is your yes real discrimination against top entrepreneurs!

Good that the young farmers are watching the cat out of the tree! later is still possible, but if you have been fooled by this cabinet for 3 years! is it ready once, as a cabinet they must first come up with perspective and be honest and realistic and then you can sit down or start talking! but now it's a waste of your time, understand that you are going to look provincial and local, because the elections there are decisive for the young farmers, let the bbb become the biggest! then you know one thing that they have lost their power in this cabinet! and get nothing more done, and then I hope there will fall and new elections, with new people who do know their business, on miniseries so that the officials are not in charge, because you have to be able to control your staff as a boss, and that not happening now! because of the shore or staghouwer just don't understand how it works!! You can also see this at kaag on finances, no financial background at all!!! how stupid can you be to put people in posts who don't understand anything! then you are stupid yourself! or your name is Mark Rutte, that's also possible!

Idd, but in my opinion the story is deeper, the government wants to influence everything in every sector. The administration that you are obliged to keep is enormous nowadays. The regulations are so complicated and so complex that you as an individual simply can't figure it out.
This applies not only to the agricultural sector but also to other industries.
The government has also run into its own knife as a result of this legislation and regulations and does not know how to proceed.

It is not without reason that waiting times at the Council of State and other courts are increasing.

It is understandable that young people are hesitant to take over another company or start one.

Jan Jansen, simple and sober with a low cost price if you want to take over a company, that won't work. You have to move forward and certainly don't let others stop you. Targeted investing is not wrong no matter what it costs, I have never regretted it because if I hadn't done that I wouldn't have been a farmer for a long time. I took over a small business from my parents and now everything is up to date with a nice surface area of land and new buildings, yes I have debts but I don't care as long as I make a return. Don't be too afraid to invest, regret things I didn't do more than I did.
