AB Texel Group takes over the animal feed transport from agricultural service provider Arvesta via AB Texel Feed Belgium. The takeover will take place on 1 October. AB Texel Group and Arvesta report this.
The takeover comes after a thorough market research by Arvesta, which looked at various solutions. Up to now, Arvesta has provided the transport for the animal feed division itself, with 25 drivers and thirty trucks. As part of its growth strategy, Arvesta has decided to outsource its animal feed transport. The company wants to further specialize and simplify the organization.
After a thorough market research, Arvesta has chosen AB Texel Group, which will take over this activity and Arvesta's drivers and trucks. It concerns the transport activities that Arvesta carries out itself. The transport that has already been outsourced through carriers remains unchanged.
For the AB Texel Group, the collaboration and acquisition fit in with the strategy to grow in animal feed transport and to enter into sustainable partnerships. Dirk Van Thielen, Director Animal Nutrition at Arvesta: "By working together with AB Texel Group, we can continue to guarantee an even better service and continuity to our customers."
AB Texel Group Belgium is located in Oostrozebeke. A local team of 25 employees relieves customers of the transport of agricultural products, animal feed and (liquid) dairy. AB Texel Group as a whole has a large and dense network in agricultural and food transport. With approximately 1.250 trucks and 2.000 trailers, potatoes and other agricultural products, animal feed, flour, (liquid) dairy and refrigerated food products are transported in large parts of Europe.
