After FrieslandCampina, Arla has also decided to increase the milk price for October. This means that the basic milk price exceeds the limit of €60 per 100 kilos.
Arla kept the milk price the same in September, but the cooperative sees room for an increase again in October. The milk price in the Netherlands increases by €1,05 to €60,30 per 100 kilos. This has been calculated based on standard Dutch levels and an annual supply of 1 million kilos. Including bonuses and premiums, the payout price can amount to a maximum of €63,45 per 100 kilos.
In milk price comparator Arla continues to follow FrieslandCampina reasonably well. The payment price may be slightly lower, but since this year the Scandinavian dairy cooperative has confirmed a standard additional payment of at least €1,50 per 100 kilos.
In an explanation, Arla states that developments in the conventional dairy market offer room for a higher milk price. The organic market does not allow this, so the payment price remains at the same level of €68,81 per 100 kilos.
