This year, the jury of the Agribusiness Award nominated three companies with their product or service. Boerenbusiness congratulates Andela Techniek as the first nominee for the Agribusiness Award 2022. The company has registered the Robot Weeder ARW-912 for the Award.
The machine is a fully robotized and autonomously driving weeding machine. It can detect and remove the weeds in the row in different crops and field conditions by means of an algorithm. According to Andela, the machine can take over most of the weeding work and it is operational 24/7.
In an explanation, the jury said: "This weeding machine is a practical innovation with real impact. A very good example of precision agriculture, which will lead to less use of labor and crop protection products. The market potential is enormous, also internationally. In short, an innovation such as everyone who likes to watch. Congratulations on your nomination!"
