This year, the jury of the Agribusiness Award nominated three companies with their product or service. Boerenbusiness congratulates Kamps de Wild as the third and final nominee for the Agribusiness Award 2022. The company has registered its product Nucrop for the Award.
Nucrop is a non-chemical system that is suitable for haulm killing in potatoes or controlling weeds and green manures. No chemistry but a conductive liquid is used here, which increases the effectiveness of the electrification. With this, Kamps de Wild wants to replace the current systems such as spraying, haulm pulling, haulm blowing and haulm burning. In addition, the system makes it easier to control the ripening of potatoes, resulting in a better quality of the potatoes and an appropriate size grading.
In an explanation, the jury said: "A nice and environmentally friendly innovation for haulm killing in potatoes with possibilities for other crops in the coming years. A real gap in the market, because the number of permitted green products is still extremely limited. high expectations for this innovation. Congratulations on your nomination!"

With the nomination of Kamps de Wild, Andela Techniek and Piglet Treatment System, the three finalists of 2022 have been announced.
It is now up to the finalists to prepare the presentation for the jury on 3 November. The Agribusiness Award 24 will be presented during a closed event on 2022 November. Then it will be announced which nomination will go home with a check worth €6.500 in media value and a follow-up process, offered by ABN Amro.
