The province of Overijssel will enforce approximately fifty PAS reporters and Interimmers. This is confirmed by a spokesman for the province. He says he has no other choice after a number of granted enforcement requests by the MOB cooperative.
The number mentioned is much larger than what Minister Van der Wal had earlier this week replied to questionn of Member of Parliament Van Haga.
The province, in its own words, is reluctant to maintain, but believes that there is now no other choice. For years she has waited in vain for promises from the cabinet to find a solution for the group of PAS reporters and Interimmers, but nothing has come of this so far.
In recent times, the province has started discussions with 12 entrepreneurs as a result of an enforcement process. A solution has been found for 9 of the 12 companies, because the company situation has been further analyzed or the operational management has been adjusted in such a way that the violation lasts longer. No solution has yet been found at 3 companies and an order subject to periodic penalty payments has been imposed. In some cases this amounts to more than €100.00. This will be forfeited if there is still a violation after 4 to 6 months.
The province says it can do nothing but impose a penalty.
It is not clear what the situation is with the other 38 to 40 companies.
