Animal feed company FransenGerrits, which is mainly active in the south of our country, saw its turnover and profit increase considerably last year. This is evident from the annual figures that were filed with the Chamber of Commerce at the beginning of this month.
Turnover rose by just under 10% to €205 million last year, making Fransen Gerrits the ninth largest animal feed company in our country. Below the line, €5,3 million in profit remained, a plus of 20% compared to the result in 2020. The profit remains within the company, as no dividend has been paid. With a net profit margin of 2,6%, FransenGerrits performs relatively well in comparison of the competition.
In April, FransenGerrits announced that it would take a majority interest in Theeuwes Mixers, which the authorities later gave the green light to. FransenGerrits also celebrated its 125th anniversary this year. The family business considers itself to be one of the survivors in the Dutch compound feed sector, which is dominated by consolidation and shrinkage.
