Boerenbusiness is presenting the Agribusiness Award for the fifth time this year. The prize for companies with an innovative product or new service with a financial advantage for the farmer. One of last year's nominees is Piglet Treatment System with the Health System. How are things going a year later?
The Health System is in full development. This modular (digital) housing system, in which the pig is central, offers a solution at individual animal level for the administration and registration of vaccines, antibiotics, health monitoring and animal welfare. With a Health Injector, RFID ear tags, data transfer system in the slaughterhouses and Health System Cloud Solutions, the company ensures a closed medication administration.

Claessens is very pleased with the publicity for the product from the Boerenbusiness Agribusiness Awards. "The publicity we have received through the Award has a positive effect on the product, a kind of appreciation. Suppose you talk to other companies and you can name the participation in this award, then that is just very positive. If naming this shows that you are performing at a higher level."
Claessens is also enthusiastic about the course of the pitch and the jury present. "I really liked the pitch, but of course it was also exciting. The different areas of expertise in the jury and their view on the product are very interesting. It was instructive to talk to the jury. You always think when you work with your product every day I'm sure you've thought of everything, but of course that's never the case. A number of questions came up that I thought: we have to work on that. Whether you finish first or last, a conversation with the jury is always great. It was all very well and professionally organized."
