Royal Cosun will appoint a new chief financial officer (CFO). Mieke Philipsen will become the new financial boss of the cooperative food group from Breda with effect from February 15, 2024. Philipsen, currently CFO at Rousselot in Son, will succeed Hans Schuil. Schuil switches to Cosun's sugar division: the Cosun Beet Company.
This has Cosun announced on Wednesday. Philipsen (52) will join Cosun on November 1 for a careful financial transfer with Schuil, the company reports. She's working now Rousselot, a producer of collagen and gelatin as ingredients for food and medicine. Previously, she worked for PwC, Vanderlande Industries and Boskalis, among others. According to Cosun's statement, she brings 'valuable experience in the field of process optimizations, mergers and acquisitions and the implementation of business and digital transformation'.
Hans Meeuwis, the CEO of Cosun, hints that the current CFO, Schuil himself aspires to a new role in the organization. He becomes CFO and member of the board of Cosun Beet Company. "I am pleased that Hans will play an important role within Cosun Beet Company, in line with his personal ambitions," said Meeuwis.
