AgruniekRijnvallei profit in line with own objectives

12 April 2024 - Wouter Baan

AgruniekRijnvallei achieved less profit and turnover in 2023 than the previous financial year. However, the additional payment per ton of animal feed purchased remains the same.

From a turnover of more than €400 million, AgruniekRijnvallei realizes a bottom line profit of €1,1 million, which already takes into account a supplementary payment of €600.000 to the members of the cooperative. The benefits therefore fall somewhat, as the profit in 2022 was still €3,5 million. Nevertheless, the profit is in line with its own objectives, it is indicated.

On the volume purchased in 2023, a price reduction of €1 per tonne will be paid to customers who were still customers in January 2024. This is the same as the previous financial year. The additional payment on the purchased crop protection products is 1%, which is half more than last year.

Challenging market
General manager Arjen van Nuland speaks of challenging market conditions, in which AgruniekRijnvallei has succeeded in achieving stable sales volumes. AgruniekRijnvallei sold a total of 719.000 tons of feed last year. This is 10.000 tons less than in 2022, as was announced in January.
