The Ministry of Agriculture has announced the leasing standards for 2024. Rents are increasing in all regions. In the Northern pasture area the increase is limited to 16%. The biggest increase is the southwestern arable area, where the regional standard increases by 65%.
The lease standards for 2024 are calculated on the basis of the land remuneration for the years 2018 to 2022. Compared to 2023, the mediocre year 2017 for arable farming is eliminated and the average financially very good year 2022 is replaced. 2022 was also an excellent year in livestock farming, but 2017 was also a good year in this sector.
The Veenkoloniën and Oldambt is the region with the lowest lease standard at €547 per hectare. Land in the IJsselmeer polders is the most expensive. The regional standard there is €1.836 per hectare. The lease prices for agricultural buildings may be increased by a maximum of 4,25%. For agricultural properties with a lease agreement from before September 1, 2007, the rent may be increased by a maximum of 5,8%. For agreements after that date, the maximum increase is set at 3,8%.
