Cooperative LDA remains the leader in Belgium in terms of basic milk price. This is evident from the announcement of the advance price for September. Although LDA is not implementing the largest increase for this month, it still continues to pay the highest basic milk price.
In September, the cooperative will do this together with A-ware Belgium. They increased the milk price more, but also paid a lower basic milk price in August. Thanks to an increase of €2,45, LDA pays a basic milk price of €50,36 per 100 litres. That is one cent more than what A-ware pays. An LDA member can earn an additional 75 cents per 100 kilos in allowances.
The average milk price paid at the 6 companies in the Boerenbusiness Belgian milk price comparator stands at €49,59 per 100 litres for September. That is €2,07 higher than the average in August. In September, the average seems to be well over €51,00 per 100 litres. However, not all milk prices are known for this month.
