Ann Vandecruys succeeds Van Vugt at former CZAV

14 January 2025 - Linda van Eekeres - 5 comments

Cooperative FarmPlus (formerly CZAV) will have a new general manager, Ann Vandecruys, on 1 July. She will succeed Antoon van Vugt, who has held this position since 2005.

Ann Vandecruys (48) will join the company on 1 May and will take over the role of general manager/director from Antoon van Vugt after an induction period on 1 July 2025. Vandecruys was born and raised in Belgian Limburg on a dairy farm. She completed her university studies in agriculture in Leuven. Vandecruys has been CEO of the DLF cooperative (grass seeds) for the past 2,5 years. Before that, she worked for 22 years at the Belgian agricultural and horticultural supplier Arvesta, in various roles.

Chairman of the supervisory board Dik Kruijthoff says in a press release that Vandecruys is a driven personality and above all a team player. "With her qualities and track record, she will make an important contribution to the further development of FarmPlus and its holdings in the Netherlands and Belgium."

Vandecruys: “Driven by my passion for agriculture and supported by my commercial experience and background, I am ready to work with the team on the further growth and development of our organization.”

Congratulations Ann on your appointment at a wonderful cooperative!! Perhaps you do things differently than Antoon and I hope you can match him in quality! Aantoon is an extremely correct and driven general manager and the choice of Ann will undoubtedly not have been made overnight. Antoon thanks for your track record and Ann much success with the further development of this wonderful cooperative.

What a hymn! A correct man indeed, but in recent years the sharpness in the ZW has really gone. Many IT and logistic problems that have clearly cost a lot of money, less competitive on seed, gbm and fertilizer prices and no longer with the best payers for grain and pulses. There is a lot of work for this lady; I hope she can make it happen!
