AgruniekRijnvallei has regained growth

31 January 2025 - Redactie Boerenbusiness

Coöperatie AgruniekRijnvallei sold more feed in 2024 than the year before. The total volume of feed sold increased by 1% to 727.000 tonnes in 2024. This means that the company has resumed its upward trend after the volume sold had fallen slightly in 2023.

Compared to 2023, the volume increased by 9.000 tonnes. The total feed sales for the cooperative are thus almost at the level of 2022, when a total of 729.000 tonnes of feed were sold.

Small takeover
At the beginning of this year, AgruniekRijnvallei announced that it would take over the company and location of PG Kusters Land- en Tuinbouwbenodigdheden. The company did not have a successor, which prompted the shareholders to decide to sell the company. The takeover should mainly yield synergy benefits for AR plant. This branch of the company is active in the vegetable market with the sale of seeds and fertilizers.

The company also reports that a volume growth of 2020% was achieved in the period 2024-8, while the Dutch compound feed market is said to have shrunk by 9%. The company has not yet announced further financial details.
