Nils de Besten, dairy farmer in Brandwijk (ZH), succeeds Elze Jellema as vice-chairman of the cooperative board of FrieslandCampina. Jellema is leaving early, due to a new, professional challenge outside the dairy cooperative.
Den Besten has been since October 2021 member of both the cooperative board and the Supervisory Board. He moves up a position in the cooperative board. In the coming years, he will act as the figurehead of the cooperative board, alongside chairman Sybren Attema, who recently extended his contract until the end of 2027. Den Besten was previously chairman of the youth council of FrieslandCampina.
Furthermore, FrieslandCampina has announced that Heiko Schipper will leave the RVC as of 1 July 2025 due to other professional commitments. The process for filling this vacant position has started.
