Now also FMD in southern Slovakia

Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) has been confirmed in three cattle farms in southern Slovakia, with a total of 600 to 1.000 animals, Minister of Agriculture Richard Takac confirmed on March 21.

He speaks of a very serious situation. On Wednesday it did not seem that way, because the results of blood samples taken were still negative. At least two of the three companies, all animals would now be killed.
