DCA Market Intelligence is looking for an energetic and proactive Account Manager. Someone who combines maintaining strong customer relationships with spotting and exploiting commercial opportunities, actively follows up leads and thinks along with professionals within the international food & agribusiness.

Location: Lelystad / Hybrid
Hours: 32 hours per week (24 to 36 hours)
Languages: Dutch & English (third language is a plus)
Experience: Junior to Medior

About DCA Market Intelligence
DCA Market Intelligence is an independent organisation that provides specialised data and information for the agricultural commodity markets, with a strong focus on the Netherlands and Europe. Every week we publish over 90 transparent and independent benchmark prices for various products, including dairy, potatoes, pigs, onions and manure. Our clients rely on this information to make informed decisions regarding their purchasing and sales strategies.

Since 2024, DCA Market Intelligence, in addition to the established labels, Boerenbusiness and Foodbusiness, an innovative platform on the market. This platform, accessible via dcamarketintelligence.com, supports buyers, sellers and traders in the international food and agribusiness.

About the feature
As an Account Manager, you are the point of contact for customers of our market intelligence platform. You actively maintain contact with our existing customers, guide new customers in making optimal use of our platform and follow up leads in a targeted manner. You understand what customers need and know how to translate that into our data-driven solutions in a professional manner.

You will work closely with other account managers, the support team and the data and market experts within the organization. Because we operate both nationally and internationally, we occasionally ask for your flexibility, such as during a trade fair visit or a customer meeting outside regular office hours. In return, we offer you a lot of freedom in organizing your working week and the possibility to work partly from home.

What are you going to do?

  • Proactively maintain contact with existing customers and target leads
  • Analyzing customer needs and translating these into effective solutions within our platform
  • Answer customer questions and ensure good on-boarding and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor customer usage and identify opportunities for extension or expansion
  • Planning and conducting customer evaluation interviews
  • Feeding back customer insights to the product team to optimize our offering
  • Working with a CRM system and contributing to improving our commercial processes

What are you bringing?

  • You have experience with customer-oriented calling in which you know how to combine commercial opportunities with good service, for example from sales, customer service, administration or secretariat
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English (minimum B2 level)
  • A structured and accurate working style, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • You feel responsible for your customers and think in terms of solutions
  • You are curious about data, market insights and how organizations use these in their strategy

Pre:

  • Experience as a commercial account manager
  • Experience in selling online services
  • Proficiency in a third language (e.g. French, German, Polish, Italian or Spanish)
  • Experience with Hubspot
