Vavi appoints Hoste as new director

The Association for the Potato Processing Industry (Vavi) has appointed Marieke Hoste (38) as director effective January 1, 2026. She succeeds Andries Middag, who has become director at Greenports Nederland.

Hoste worked at LTO Nederland and Royal Cosun. As public affairs manager at Cosun, she was active on issues such as water quality, energy, and climate. At Vavi, she will also focus on these themes, along with environmental issues and biodiversity. The most important task of the Vavi director, however, is to strengthen the global position of Dutch potato processors together with the members.
