Trump lowers tariffs again on Swiss products

Switzerland has reached an agreement with US President Donald Trump concerning investments in the US and increased market access for certain products in exchange for lower tariffs on Swiss goods. The Swiss economy has been increasingly affected in recent months by the 39% import tariff imposed by the US president on all products from the country. New negotiations with a high-ranking Swiss delegation have led to significantly lower tariffs, down from 39% to 15%. The Swiss have had to make significant concessions in return. They have pledged to invest $200 billion in the US, a third of which will be completed by 2026. This includes the construction of an aircraft factory. 

For agriculture, it's important that Switzerland further opens its market to American poultry products and beef. In return, the Swiss can resume exports to the US as usual.
