Cor Pierik starts working at DCA Market Intelligence

Cor Pierik started working part-time at DCA Market Intelligence this month. As an agricultural economist, he will analyze and interpret economic and sectoral developments in the agricultural and food sector based on data. His contributions appear on, among others, Boerenbusiness.nl and on the platforms of DCA Market Intelligence.

Pierik (61) has a long history in Dutch agriculture. In 1990, he joined Statistics Netherlands (CBS), where he worked for over thirty years as an agricultural economist and was responsible for agricultural and food production data. In 2023, he made the switch to politics and stood for election for the BoerBurgerBeweging (BBB). From December 2023 to November 2025, he was a Member of Parliament, with agriculture and Transport and Water Management in his portfolio. He did not stand for re-election in the last elections.
