Since the last monitoring (2 weeks ago), the lead in the development of wheat has declined slightly. Furthermore, the duality of the plots is striking. Since sowing, plants have already been left behind due to lack of moisture. This is still clearly visible due to drought.
The persistent drought gives diseases little chance. The crops are healthy. The septoria present has no chance to spread. The yellow rust pressure has stabilized. Some mildew can be found in a single plot.
Good starting situation
Of course, this favorable situation can quickly deteriorate if the weather changes. This good starting situation can ensure a wonderful yield, but then the wheat must remain healthy. Many of the growers have already carried out the first foliar spraying (T1), about 3 to 4 weeks earlier than average.
The later plots have been/will be sprayed one of these days, which is still earlier than normal. Xpro's products are also extremely suitable for this. Our advice for the T1 spraying (stage 31/32) is: Xpro (Aviator, Skyway or Ascra).
Intervals
After this it is important not to let the intervals become too large. For an optimal result, it is also important that all (upper) leaf layers are sprayed. Keep your finger on the pulse and don't wait too long with the ripening disease control (T2) when the wheat has reached the flag leaf stage. Our advice for T2 spraying is: spray Ascra Xpro 1,1 liters per hectare (from BBCH 39, flag leaf stage) on time.
