In the meeting of the Board for the Authorization of Plant Protection Products and Biocides (Ctgb), the label of the biological product is Sonata extensively in the uncovered cultivation of: chicory, strawberries, currant, grapes, blackberry, raspberry, endive, lamb's lettuce, zucchini, pumpkin(-like), parsley, flower seed, vegetable seed, beets, herbs, fiber crops, oilseeds, legumes, forage crops, quinoa, green manure crops, forage crops and chicory, woad, buckwheat, madder, kite, sorghum, teff and millet.
Sonata is based on the bacterium 'Bacillus pumilis QST 2808' and is particularly effective against mildew. Sonata is used preventively. If this attack is already present, a curative fungicide must first be applied to lower the pressure, followed by an application with Sonata.
Other operation
The dose range in uncovered crops is about 5 to 10 liters per hectare, depending on the infection pressure and crop development. For grapes, a dosage of 5 liters per hectare applies. In favorable conditions for powdery mildew, repeat the application after 5 to 7 days.
