The Netherlands has more and more entrepreneurs in the horse industry. The number is growing steadily, especially in the south of our country. The sector has a high hobby level, but the professional sector has a serious size: according to Statistics Netherlands, it is even worth €1,5 billion annually.

We follow the developments closely

Specialists in horse husbandry
Dick Bos and Pierre Kerckhoffs, together with a number of advisors, form a national group of specialists and know everything about the horse world. Dick and Pierre, both hobby breeders, hold board positions in equestrian clubs and have a passion for horses. Dick: "We have built up a large network within our group of specialists. Together we have a wealth of knowledge and experience, which really benefit customers. And we follow developments closely."

Pierre adds: "We know what is going on in the industry, so we can provide good advice in good time. Because we are represented nationally, there is always a specialist nearby."

The horse before the cart
Horse owners often have to deal with specific regulations, especially regarding VAT and income tax. To guarantee business continuity, they must respond to changes in a timely manner. The specialists support this. Dick: "Regulations sometimes change. If that happens, we will be on top of it to proactively advise entrepreneurs. For example, with the imminent abolition of the agricultural exemption in the income tax, a development that is particularly important for rearing companies. revaluation on the balance sheet, the profit - currently still exempt - can be secured."

Dick continues: "Special VAT rates apply to the horse trade and equestrian sport and internationally oriented companies have their own specific areas of attention, such as tax issues in foreign transactions and regulations for foreign sportsmen and women. Whatever the issue, we help entrepreneurs further."
