Want to save energy as an entrepreneur?

7 November 2023

The Dutch government is taking various measures to reduce energy consumption in the Netherlands and to emit 2030% fewer greenhouse gases by 49. Companies must also do their part.

Would you like to achieve a reduction in your energy costs and contribute to a sustainable future, for society and for your company? Future-oriented entrepreneurs save energy.

Energy saving obligation
Does your company have an energy consumption of more than 50.000 kWh of electricity or 25.000 m3 natural gas (equivalents) per year? Then you are obliged to take energy-saving measures with a payback period of five years or less or to implement all measures in the Recognized Lists of Measures for Energy Savings (EML). You must report to the government what measures you are taking to save energy. The information obligation for energy-saving measures came into effect for the first time in 2019. You must update this information obligation every four years. That is why many entrepreneurs must report again by December 1, 2023 at the latest.
