Winter barley insensitive to yellowing virus

Due to the warm weather of the last few days, the winter grains are now developing rapidly. Many fields of winter barley go to stage 2nd knot. Now is the best time to detect yellowing virus dwarfism.

In the photo, the winter barley variety on the right side has been affected by the yellowing virus. There was a lot of maize in the vicinity of the plot, which meant that the pressure of aphids was high. To the left of the line is the barley variety RAFAELA, which has been made resistant to the yellowing virus by breeding.

The affected plants on the right of the photo will eventually die completely. The yield loss can range from 20 to 100% and no further curative action can be taken.
