Practical afternoons cultivation of winter field beans

The winter field bean of the variety Tundra Since the introduction of this crop in the Netherlands (2016), it has rapidly grown into the protein crop for livestock farmers and arable farmers. In the month of July, 4 practical afternoons will take place about this cultivation.

More and more livestock farmers in the Netherlands are discovering the benefits of regional concentrate cultivation, often in collaboration with arable farmers. During our practical afternoons, the possibilities of cultivation are highlighted.

Cultivation specialists
During the practical afternoons, visitors are informed about the cultivation, harvesting, storage and processing of field beans, the role of field beans in milk, meat and poultry rations and the developments in the sale of field beans in animal and human nutrition. The latest news about protein from our own country is shared and cultivation specialists are present to answer all your questions.

The practical afternoons take place on the following dates and locations:

  • Thursday 4 July in Geesbrug (Drenthe), Luchiesweg (no registration required).
  • Friday 5 July in Holwerd (Friesland), Medwerterwei, at the Hillige wei intersection (no registration required).
