MaïsService offers insurance for 2020

In 2020, Mesurol will no longer be allowed as seed disinfectant for maize. That is why Limagrain has developed a unique insurance policy: LG MaisService. This is a combination of the unique seed treatment Starcover and Force 20CS with a free seed insurance in case of bird damage.

When Mesurol is no longer used as a seed disinfectant on maize seed, maize growers will have to opt for a different solution in 2020. For the next growing season, Limagrain therefore offers a combination of the versatile FORCE 20CS with the biostimulant Starcover on all Limagrain maize varieties.

Surplus yield
“Starcover encourages extra root growth and more microbial soil activity,” says commercial manager Jos Groot Koerkamp. “In recent research by the Hogeschool Gent, Starcover is the only biostimulator with a demonstrable additional yield of more than 5%. In this way we assure the grower – in addition to the highest possible protection against soil pests and bird damage after sowing – of a more vital and resilient crop during the rest of the season.”

Additional insurance
If, despite all precautionary measures, growers still discover bird damage, they are still 100% safe with the LG MaizeService. Groot Koerkamp: “In that case, we reimburse the maize seed that is required for over- or additional sowing in the event of more than 25% plant loss. That is our promise for the 2020 season!”
