The harvest season has started again, the first yield results of winter wheat varieties are becoming clear. Limagrain already lists the best performing wheat varieties of this year.
Of course, a high yield potential is important for the yield of your wheat cultivation. But at least as important are disease resistance and firmness. Varieties with a high yield potential that are more sensitive to, for example, yellow rust or alloy require more crop protection and growth regulation. These extra cultivation costs bring the balance down considerably.
In the European wheat breeding program of Limagrain, yield potential in combination with strong resistance genes and sturdy straw is the spearhead. Our varieties are available from your local grain collector or dealer. Download our overview winter crops here sow 2020 or select your varieties with our online selection tool.
