Work moves between meadow and field

3 July 2017 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 1 reaction

Activities on the land move somewhat between livestock farming and arable farming. With the second cut of grass behind us, there is a moment of rest. Arable farmers in the Northern Netherlands were busy with potatoes and sugar beet during June.

The sense of reality escapes me as to what the advantage is of hoeing with a 200 hp tractor. Who can explain that to me??
Considering ground pressure and fuel consumption, an MF 35 X seems more appropriate to me. Or is it the farmer's emotion to put a 200 hp in front of it ??
