The new Geospread spreader is called TLX Geospread. The CentreFlow dosing system has been updated to spread at higher speeds. Each disc has 8 blades, which spread the product more forward. This is required to handle large volumes. The sections are 2m. The tarpaulin rolls up electrically.
The iXtra Life front tank is specially designed for liquid fertilizers. It behaves like a complete sprayer. The boom is just the fertilizer nozzles on the precision air seeder. Up to 18 sections are switchable. The tank capacity is unchanged at 1.100 litres.
The Tellus Pro terminal takes over from the Tellus 2. The design has hardly changed. A heavy quad-core processor can run large applications such as rtk-gps control, via the Linux operating system. The image quality has been greatly improved for both sunny and dark conditions.
Kverneland notices that terminals often end up behind the back of the shed. To extend the lifespan, every Tellus Pro is supplied in a robust case as standard. On the left the new Isobus joystick.
The Tellus terminal can be combined with a new rtk-gps control system. You can quickly mount it on the handlebar. Kverneland developed it together with a fellow manufacturer. For the Netherlands, the company mainly sees opportunities for livestock farmers or for a second or third tractor.
The Vicon Extra 7100 butterfly mower is not new, the GPS control is. We wrote about this in detail before Boerenbusiness† Each mower is seen as a section and operated automatically. To keep overlap to a minimum, the machine regulates this itself by means of a side shift.
With the Fanex 1124, Vicon claims to have the widest mounted tedder on the market: it has a working width of 11,2 meters. The machine does not sag on the headland thanks to a new lifting system. This saves money on an expensive set of wheels.
For farmers who want to ted 60m wide with a 9 hp tractor, there is the new Fanex 904C. With the optional joystick you can control all functions. A hydraulic edge tedder is standard. The guardrails are now aluminum on all machines.
The 4 rotor Andex 1505 can be equipped with the GeoRake system. The machine operates each rotor individually. When cornering, he rakes out the corners himself, by extending the arm. That did not work flawlessly during the demonstration. Hopefully a matter of adjustment.
For countries that press a lot of wet grass, there is the new RF5325 fixed chamber baler. Everything is extra heavy to be able to work under extreme conditions. The pick-up and pressing rollers are heavy duty.
The FastBale can now wrap the bale with film. Vicon offers the Techno-Pack on the RV5000 series. A pivoting drawbar automatically ensures an evenly filled bale chamber. The package also includes a weighing system and measurement of moisture contents up to 50%.
Sowing corn at high speeds is the trend. Kverneland is therefore introducing a High Speed version of their Optima seed drill. It can sow up to 18 km/h via a new SX seeding unit. The seeds are shot into the ground at 80 km/h.
The iPlough was the big news at Agritechnica in 2015. The first models are in the field. The plow is available with a new support and transport wheel. On the road, it drives behind you like a trailer at 40 km/h. Switching from field to transport position is automatic.
For the Netherlands, a frame-mounted gauge wheel is desired. This allows you to neatly plow the edges without the support wheel protruding. It can also be used as a transport wheel on the road. Kverneland is still launching their definitive track gauge wheel in Hanover.
Great Plains was present for the Eastern European press. Kubota bought this brand over a year ago. For the Benelux, the small Flatlift subsoiler and DTX cultivator are added to the Kverneland package.
The Turbo cultivator was already available in a trailed version and now also in a fixed or folding mounted version. By quickly exchanging points, which will cost you fifteen minutes, you can use it in both spring and autumn. The track roller is also interchangeable.
The mounted field sprayer in the iXflow-E version has electrically operated nozzles and a circulating pump system. Technique that is already on the drawn syringes. The tree, up to 30m, can be equipped with a maximum of 15 sections.
The brand has now sold 200 to 250 machines of the self-propelled vehicle. Thanks to the new EcoDrive transmission, in combination with new engine management, fuel consumption is reduced and the power of the wheel motors increased. In the field, this results in 15% more efficiency. On the road it is 35%.

All Kverneland novelties in a row
25 August 2017 - Redactie Boerenbusiness
Prior to the German Agritechnica mechanization fair, manufacturer Kverneland presented their novelties to the press this week. This concerns arable farming, livestock farming and precision farming technology. There were no shocking innovations. Improvements are in clever details.
