This summer, Case IH showed their Quadtrac with a CVT transmission, which is unique. New Holland may also have the transmission, but not in combination with tracks.
Most manufacturers come out with shiny special editions. Steyr not. Their Terrus top model is shown in a matte version.
In its own words, the Indian Mahindra is the largest tractor builder in the world. At the Agritechnica it is not only showing compact models.
Ursus is still on the market. Especially in home country Poland. This is also proudly displayed on the windscreen, just like a European flag. The brand does not forget its history.
Arbos was one of the great novelties 2 years ago. Little news for the Chinese Italians this year. For example, there are no new tractors and no combine harvester. A maize seeder, from MaterMacc.
Belarus shows a bear of a tractor with Caterpillar engine. One can argue about taste. Everyone probably has an opinion about it. Nothing can be seen of the electric prototype, shown 2 trade fairs ago.
As announced, Kubota is showing the AgriRobo. It can do its rounds on the rice field itself, just like the rice planter and combine harvester. The future must tell whether it is a marketing trick or reality.
At least as interesting is the system on the new M7200 series tractors. The baler, built by Vicon, steers the tractor. A camera on the roof tracks the swaths and the baler can accelerate or slow down the tractor itself.
In 2015, Zetor attracted a lot of visitors with its daring design. As promised, this is now ready for practice. The Italian studio Pinifarina was hired for it.
In their own words, the MultiToolTrac is finally ready for use. This is still the prototype, but series production can start, according to the manufacturer.
Claas also showed his Tier 4 Final models to the press before. Now they are getting their official launch. A new telehandler and shovel were still under cover on Saturday. The Axion is also available on tracks.
The small Arion 500 is also emission ready. Recognizable by the large pot under the exhaust, in front of the SCR catalytic converter.
Massey Ferguson updates his tractors on the eve of Agritechnica. They are recognizable by the addition S and a new sticker. In the cabin you will find a new terminal: the Fieldstar 5.
The larger 7700 series. Engine power and gearbox remained unchanged. rtk-gps is available ex works (Autoguide) and a reversing camera.
The 5700 series from MF has been given a Dyna-4 powershift transmission and is therefore also interesting for Dutch users. The series ranges from very sober to high tech, which is what this model is.
Fendt is well on the way with a fully electric tractor. The first will go into the field next year. The e100 looks complete and sleek.
One of the big crowd pullers this year is the new MT series of tracked tractors from Fendt. Challenger can no longer be seen at the Agritechnica, despite the fact that they are sold in Eastern Europe. Fendt is going to do it in Western Europe and offers a tracked tractor with CVT. The cab is recognizable to Fendt users.
Finally, the 200 Vario series from Fendt received an update to meet the emission requirements. Here's the wide version. There is also a narrow gauge type.
Challenger's large MT800E series has only given Fendt a different color. In this series, with powers above 600 hp, no CVT yet. For the first time in years, Fendt has a manual gearbox again.
Valtra once again shows the new Smarttouch control, which it presented at the Sima. Not much new, except for the subtle styling. A blue banner is reminiscent of the Finnish flag.
Not an empty cab but a complete tractor this time at New Holland. The T8 can drive autonomously, but that will not happen for the time being. Legislation hinders the manufacturer. It remains to experiment.
New Holland shipped the Methane 2.0 tractor from the US to Europe. It certainly looks futuristic. It's not a marketing ploy, it's serious. A gas-powered prototype has already been driven in the Netherlands.

Attractions at the Agritechnica

Tractor manufacturers have hoarded new models for the Agritechnica show, which starts on Sunday 12 November. There are no real surprises, because manufacturers have already presented their models in advance. Autonomous driving is the new trend.

Really striking and unknown new tractors are missing this year. It is mainly already known models that are shown to the general public for the first time.

Editors suggest that they don't like the Belarus but have they ever looked at the JD 8 series?

Sorry Bart, that was not the intention. Personally, I think it's fun and interesting to watch! However, there was also a lot of criticism on the trading floor. It was clearly not to everyone's liking.
