Just before the Agritechnica, Kverneland presented a new field sprayer, the iXtrack T3. A successor to the middle model with aluminum boom. It is mainly due to its compact dimensions.
Dubex introduced a new drift-reducing technique last year: Wave. Instead of a stainless steel screen, a plastic version now hangs under the tree to pull open the crop, so that spraying liquid is blown into the crop.
Kuhn won a silver medal with their race team. Each element can move up and down individually. Kverneland also has something similar. The entire plow then raises and lowers on GPS.
For the Eastern European market, Kuhn is showing a field sprayer with high legs. The Stronger 4036 with 36 meters of booms and a 4.000 liter tank. The pulled models also received an update.
John Deere and Kramer announced their collaboration earlier this year, after Claas continued with Liebherr. The telehandlers are not green-yellow yet, but they are on the same position.
Kemper shows their gold medal invention. The Stalbuster. The maize header is equipped with blades that break the stubble. This way, the corn stalk borer cannot hibernate.
At the beginning of September, Grimme showed that it was working on a 3-wheel potato harvester. It is now in its final form. It is 1 of the 5 Big Five innovations that were announced from May.
The Evo 290, with 2 rows and a 9 tonne bunker, is equipped with Airsep. This American technique separates stones and clods from the lot. Grimme has been working on the technology for years. It will finally be available from 2018.
Grimme already elicited many reactions with the Ventor 4150. The operating principle remained the same, the styling is new.
The styling is completely different from what we are used to from Grimme. The bunker fits 15 tons. The machine uses a double fall through mat system.
The regular Evo 290 with 3 driven wheels.
Ploeger uses the Agritechnica to show his AT trike for slurry and solid manure to the general public. The German market is an important one for these machines. In a short period of time, the company does a fine piece of work to fill the Terra-Gator's void.
The years in which ever larger sowing machines were shown are over, it seems. This Novag direct seed drill is something special. Especially thanks to the Camso track system.
Hoe robot for 1 bed from Naïo. Each wheel is controlled individually. Much startling robot technology was not yet on display prior to the fair.
This time you will find Lely at Agco's stand, after the takeover earlier this year. The Tigo loader wagon can be seen in Fendt colours. All other haymaking machines still come from Fella. A loader wagon and press was the only thing that was missing.
The Challenger yellow is completely gone. Last time Grubbenvorst proudly presented their RG 300 sprayer. This time Fendt takes the credit.
This spring, on the Sima, there was a Kongskilde implement on the New Holland stand. This time it is also blue.
It was guesswork about the strategy of the brand. Kongskilde's haymaking machines are turning yellow. The tillage blue.

Medal winners and new harvesters

12 November 2017 - Redactie Boerenbusiness

At the Agritechnica in Hanover, Germany, striking transformations of machine manufacturers can be seen this year. Kongskilde shows machines in yellow and blue at New Holland, Lely in green at Fendt. In addition, Grimme finally shows his 5 innovations in the final form.

There was a lot of criticism about the medal winners this year. No real novelties, only German companies. The most striking prize winners in a row.
