In the Frisian town of Jelsum, the last cut of grass was mowed on 17 October and ensiled on 18 October.
In Zuidbroek (Groningen) the grass was mowed on 14 October. The acreage was 90 hectares.
The grass was baled on October 16, the yield was 1100 kg dry matter per hectare.
The grass in Aartswoud was mowed on 13 October.
The grass was raked there on 17 October and ensiled.
Up close, it can be seen that the grass has had time to dry before going into the pit.
The participants were very happy with the grass, the yield was less than in previous years, but of better quality.
The participant in Overloon is still busy using his grass by feeding it fresh to the cows.
In Sint-Oedenrode, the last cut is used to feed the cows fresh instead of ensiling the grass.

Now that the rain had stopped, the participants of the Boerenbusiness Roughage tour last week chance to mow and silage the last cut of grass. A lot of hard work has been done on the plots. 

The first results of the fresh grass samples from the north of the country did not disappoint
