De Boerenbusiness Crop tour 2018 started on Friday 1 June. The aim of the Crop Tour is to visualize the growing season of 10 potato plots with the Innovator variety. There are already clear differences in growth.
The heavy local showers and the delayed planting activities clearly influence the growing season of the Innovators; for example, differences occur between the plot in the Wieringermeer and a plot in North Brabant† A lot of rain fell on that last plot, but the damage was limited.
Because all potato plots are equipped with weather stations and intensively monitored through photos, videos and articles, the differences become clear. on the Crop Tour page it is visible that the potatoes on some plots have only just reached the top, while on other plots the tuber setting has almost started and the crop is almost completely closed.
Little damage on Crop Tour plots
